Report: Brock Lesnar's WWE Return On Hold Due To Legal Issues

Brock Lesnar not returning to WWE TV any time soon

Although reports indicated this week that WWE were making moves to bring back Brock Lesnar, any return plans for the former WWE Champion are reportedly on hold due to Lesnar's current legal issues, according to Aaron Varble of SE Scoops

"Brock Lesnar is not any closer to making a return to WWE than he was when they yanked him from the road to WrestleMania 40. He is not being thought of in any creative capacity. No stories. No pitches. His name is not being brought up. After the report of a 'movement' within WWE to bring him back, I asked around and was told that there is no movement to bring Brock Lesnar back within WWE," Varble wrote.

"I was explicitly told that 'No one is going to get involved in that situation. This is a legal issue and until the lawyers decide that Brock is to be brought back, there is no movement at all, or a movement on his behalf.' So, there you go. DON'T take bets on any odds that Lesnar will be back for Mania or any time soon. You will lose your money."

Lesnar has been off WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023 when his programme with Cody Rhodes came to an end. Plans were in place for Lesnar to return in the 2024 Royal Rumble ahead of matches with Dominik Mysterio and Gunther. Those plans were scrapped after Lesnar was implicated in the sex trafficking lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.

WWE have since looked to distance themselves from Lesnar. All of the former Universal Champion's merchandise was pulled from sale and he is not a playable character in WWE 2K24.
