At TNA’s recent Final Resolution event on December 13 from Center Stage in Atlanta Georgia, a very awkward moment took place during the TNA World Tag Team Championship match as Matt & Jeff Hardy of the Hardy Boyz successfully defended the gold against The System duo of Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards. The Hardy Boyz’ victory came with help thanks to the interference of a fan… that was not planned.

Edwards was playing up the heel to the fans at ringside, slapping a drink out of the hand of a fan who he was exchanging words with. The fan gave Edwards a light slap, and Edwards responded in kind with a big slap of his own. Per PWInsider, this fan was not a plant and the spot was not planned, with the fan legitimately putting hands on Edwards.

PWInsider have provided some more details on the immediate aftermath of the incident, detailing that the fan in question was ejected from Center Stage during the event and then handed off to the Atlanta Police Department. In terms of whether or not Edwards or TNA filed charges, there were no more details confirmed. It must be said that this incident was not even the most controversial moment of the Final Resolution show, as it also featured the return of Tessa Blanchard.
