TNA Wrestling have enjoyed a positive start to 2024.

The promotion officially returned to their 'TNA Wrestling' name at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 13, having been IMPACT Wrestling since Anthem purchased the company in 2017. The return of TNA led to a wave of positivity around the company and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Hard To Kill drew "great" pay-per-view buys.

"The TNA Hard to Kill show did great. Right now, this is basically a week and a half out so this number will grow but it was at 8000 on television, which is a really good number for TNA. I'm sure it's the biggest number that they've done since the Rich Swann/Kenny Omega match. It actually has a fairly decent shot of - I don't know about beating that one - but being in the same realm as that one. And it's possible it could be the biggest since the Spike days. Certainly, already is the third biggest since the Spike days. And the fact that they did this on a night that was against the NFL Playoffs, against Battle in the Valley - although, they were not head-to-head completely with Battle in the Valley. The last hour, I think, of TNA and the first hour of Battle in the Valley were head-to-head - but they were head-to-head completely with Collision. So, to do a number that big against that football game and Collision and Battle in the Valley, I think it's great, there's no other way to put it, that's great," Meltzer stated.

TNA Hard To Kill emanated from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and over 1600 fans were in attendance at the show. Just under 1200 fans were then in attendance at the Snake Eyes TV taping the next night.

The Rich Swann vs. Kenny Omega match was a title vs. title affair at IMPACT Rebellion 2021. That show was the most purchased IMPACT pay-per-view on streaming platforms since 2017 and TV pay-per-view buys were estimated to have been 9,300. It was one of the biggest pay-per-view buy rates since TNA lost their Spike TV deal.

TNA Hard To Kill saw the debuts of Nic Nemeth and Ash By Elegance. Another former WWE star has also since popped up in TNA.
