At the start of 2024, a rebranded TNA hosted their Hard To Kill event which drew in huge PPV buys for the company, with it being estimated that it saw up to 66,000 buys. With the promise of surprises and the return of the TNA branding after being IMPACT for several years, interest was high.

On April 20, 2024, TNA hosted their Rebellion premium live event, which was the company’s first major PLE since the roaring success of Hard To Kill. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported by Dave Meltzer that Rebellion is at 3,200 TV buys, so the overall figure along with streaming will take it to just over 10,000 buys. Whilst this is a fine number compared to years gone by, it means that from Hard To Kill to Rebellion there was a decrease of 85% in the number of buys, which is a huge drop.

The Rebellion show saw Moose defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Nic Nemeth in the main event, Jordynne Grace defeat Stephanie De Lander in a Knockouts World Title match, and surprise appearances from Mike Santana and Matt Hardy.
