TNA Slammiversary 2025 is approaching, with the promotion heading to the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York next month on July 20. The match card is gradually taking shape, with Moose announced to be defending the TNA X-Division Championship against Leon Slater. Another match has now been revealed over this weekend, and it just so happens to be the main event of the PLE.

On social media, TNA announced that former champion Joe Hendry will be getting a rematch against reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion, NXT’s Trick Williams. This will be a rematch from the NXT Battleground event last month when Williams upset Hendry and won the gold. In the time since, Hendry hasn’t had the best of luck, even losing to Franke Kazarian at Against All Odds 2025.

This may not be the final match for Slammiversary though, as at TNA’s tapings last night, Santana revealed his intentions to also receive a rematch for the world title, so a triple threat may in fact be on the cards for the show. At last night’s tapings, Cedric Alexander made his TNA debut.
