TNA Wrestling Sets Aside Money For Big Free Agent Signing

Big money available for a huge TNA signing

TNA Wrestling have put some big money aside for a major free agent signing.

TNA President Scott D'Amore teased on Busted Open Radio this week that TNA are finalising one of the biggest signings in the promotion's history, saying: "We're going to have some surprises for you, some unexpected things including, guys, we are right there at the goal line of finalising one of, I think, the biggest signings in TNA. I think it's something that's really going to shake things up here on January 13."

Dave Meltzer has since reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that TNA have earmarked some money to spend on a big free agent.

"IMPACT does have, from what I gather, earmarked some money to where they can spend some money on a big free agent. Whether they would or could outbid AEW, I mean, it's doubtful they could, but you don't know how much Tony [Khan] would be willing to spend on one of those names. And there's other names on the list, but I don't think any of the other names are big enough to warrant what Scott said. So those are the obvious choices. I don't think there's anyone whose WWE contract is coming due who hasn't either re-signed or and again," Meltzer said.

There is no word on who the free agent signing might be at TNA Hard to Kill on January 13. Speculation has suggested it could be a former WWE talent like Dolph Ziggler or Mustafa Ali.

TNA Wrestling did make a major seven-figure offer to Will Ospreay earlier this year but the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion opted to sign with All Elite Wrestling instead.
