TNT Championship Match Set For AEW Battle Of The Belts

AEW will be hosting their seventh Battle of the Belts event next week, which will air immediately after Saturday’s episode of Collision in a three-hour AEW showcase. This Collision show will feature FTR vs. Bullet Club gold for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and both men’s and women’s Owen Hart Tournament finals.  

Just one match has been set up for that Battle of the Belts thus far though, as the TNT Champion Luchasaurus will defend his gold against Canada’s own Shawn Spears. On this past week’s episode of AEW Collision, a video package was made to hype up this bout, which was set up when Spears confronted both Luchasaurus and Christian Cage last week. 

Since winning the TNT Championship from Wardlow, Luchasaurus has not even touched the belt, with Christian Cage running around with the gold, acting as though he is actually the champion. This match will also mark Shawn Spears’ first ever title match since joining AEW all the way back in 2019.
