Tony Khan Is Trying To Get Chris Hero Back In The Ring

Tony Khan is "chipping away" at Chris Hero for an in-ring return

Chris Hero was recently reported to be working in a backstage capacity with AEW, working behind the scenes as a trainer and helping out with the Ring of Honor brand, where he was a former two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion alongside Claudio Castagnoli. When replying to fans on Twitter, Tony Khan responded to a tweet which asked for Chris Hero to be added to the upcoming Blackpool Combat Club vs. The Elite Blood & Guts match, with each team still in need of one member.

Khan stated in his reply, “I’m chipping away on him”.

Hero hasn’t wrestled in a match since all the way back in 2020 when he was released by WWE after a stint working on the NXT UK brand. Hero has made sure to recently note that he isn’t officially retired from wrestling, though it is unclear whether or not a return to the ring would come in the form of AEW, though Tony Khan does seem very open to the idea.
