TNT Title Rematch Set For AEW Dynamite

Major rematch set for AEW Dynamite

The April 12 edition of AEW Dynamite was a night of returns for the promotion and along with surprise appearances from The Elite, and Jeff Hardy, Wardlow made his comeback to AEW TV.

The 35-year-old had been off AEW programming since he dropped the TNT Championship to Powerhouse Hobbs on the post-Revolution edition of Dynamite on March 8 but he returned on Wednesday night, destroying Hobbs' car by flipping it over with a forklift. The two powerhouses then brawled inside the arena and Wardlow ended up standing tall after he threw Aaron Solo through a table.

Solo was the man who took responsibility for breaking into Wardlow's car and stealing the TNT Title and his ring gear ahead of the post-Revolution episode of Dynamite. The break-in was ultimately legitimate, with AEW opting to turn the situation into a work.

Also announced for next week's episode of Dynamite is Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter vs. Toni Storm & Ruby Soho as the feud between The Outcasts and AEW originals continues. The April 19 episode of Dynamite is scheduled to take place in Baker's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with the city likely becoming Brittsburgh again for the night.
