WWE NXT has loaded up tonight's edition of the black and gold brand as both the NXT and NXT Women's Title will be on the line and William Regal will make two "game-changing announcements."
Regal will reportedly announce the creation of the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship as well as a two-night NXT TakeOver on April 7 and April 8. Night one will air live on the USA Network while night two will be available on WWE Network internationally and Peacock in the United States.
Ahead of her NXT Women's Title match against Io Shirai, Toni Storm sat down with Sportskeeda and she admitted an NXT Women's Tag Team Championship is "going to change the entire division."
She said: "If that happens, like, that's going to change the entire division. I mean, we've got more women than we ever have. So it's going to be entertaining as hell. Like if that's the case... it might as well just be all women (laughs)."
If Storm will compete for the tag team title at some point down the line remains to be seen, but she was a part of a short-lived tag team with Mercedes Martinez during the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
