Toni Storm Hints At A Potential Match With Mercedes Mone
Toni Storm comments on facing a big "free agent"
There are some big free agents on the market right now, and the biggest of those is arguably Mercedes Mone, whose talks with WWE reportedly broke down recently, which has led to speculation heating back up when it comes to the potential of her returning to Japan or signing with AEW.
During the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum, the AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm was asked on who in the free agent market she would like to face.
“OK, here we go. Tony, Anthony… I don’t care how much you’re going to yell at me for this after, but yes, there is quite the free agent out there. Isn’t there? There’s money written all over it…Wendi Richter — I’m gonna fuck you up.”
Of course, the way she worded it was fully intended to reference Mercedes Mone, especially with the operative use of the word “money” when talking about said free agent. However, she ended this minor tease with a comedic line. Based on this, it is still uncertain whether or not Mone and AEW is even still a possibility.
