Tony Deppen To Make In-Ring Return At GCW Homecoming 2023

Tony Deppen returning to GCW for Homecoming 2023

Tony Deppen is set to return to GCW for their upcoming Homecoming 2023 event in August, after spending several months on the injured list.

The former ROH World television Champion has been out of action since early May, having broken his arm in a match against Zack Sabre Jr. in GCW.

Taking to Twitter, GCW officially announced Deppen’s return, with Deppen himself posting the following:

“The last 2 1/2 months have been hell to me- besides COVID this is longest I’ve gone without wrestling in 17 years. But at least I didn’t have to watch others wrestle during it like I’ve been doing since May. I’m coming back - and gonna come back hard, and reclaim what’s mine.”

Deppen was also announced for an indie show in Philadelphia in September, but publicly withdrew from the event after finding out he’d be sharing a bill with the likes of Marty Scurll and Flip Gordon.

Prior to his injury, Deppen was splitting his time between GCW and ROH.
