Tony Khan Calls CM Punk's AEW Deal "Full Time"

Punk returns to the ring on September 5

CM Punk's deal with All Elite Wrestling is reportedly "full time", according to Tony Khan during the post-Rampage media scrum on Friday night in Chicago.

While other details of Punk's deal with AEW are scarce, Punk did let on that he and Khan were in negotiations for a year and a half.

Regarding his contract, Punk stated, "I don't really know if you want to know how the sausage is made. One of the biggest appeals of AEW looks like they show up, have a good time. You don't want to know the terms of my contract. Just know that I'm here.

"It's not a short-term thing and I'm here to help anyone that wants help.”

Khan added, "We're going to be doing this for a while. We're excited. This isn't a short-term thing or a part-time thing. This is full-time and we’re very excited."

Punk made his return to professional wrestling at the opening of Rampage, after seven and a half years away. At the end of his return promo, Punk addressed Darby Allin, and said he would wrestle him at All Out in Chicago on September 5.

Punk is also scheduled to appear on the August 25 Dynamite in Milwaukee.
