WWE are set to counter-programme against AEW All In 2026 on August 30, with NXT and AAA running back-to-back shows on the same day as AEW’s return to Wembley Stadium.

There is a history of WWE counter-programming major AEW events, with NXT Great American Bash running against AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28. Speaking during the post-Forbidden Door media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan gave his take on WWE’s counter-programming efforts:

“It’s double the compliment Jimmy Crockett got [laughs]. Twice as nice as they were to Jimmy. I’ll be sure to take it that way. We’re going to have a great All In. It’s going to be a great night for AEW. I can’t speak to what the other promotions are doing, but I did see that announcement. I saw that with our show going on tonight, so not a lot I can do other than hope we have a very good show and plan and prepare that we will have a good show for All In,” Khan said.

Khan was making reference to how WWE (then the WWF) constantly counter-programmed Jim Crockett Promotions pay per view shows in the late 80s, eventually leading to the downfall of JCP, and its subsequent sale to Ted Turner, paving the way for WCW.
