It has been over a month since AEW All Out 2022 and the now infamous backstage brawl between CM Punk, Ace Steel, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega after comments from Punk during the post-PPV media scrum.

The five main parties involved in the fight were indefinitely suspended pending a third-party investigation, and during a recent interview with Variety, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that the investigation is still ongoing after he was unable to comment on specifics of the incident.

The fight occurred after Punk publicly criticised Colt Cabana and Hangman Page, and took thinly veiled digs at The Elite. The Young Bucks and Omega reportedly went to confront Punk in his locker room when the fight broke out, with some reports stating that Punk instigated the physicality.

After Punk and The Elite were suspended, they were stripped of their championships and removed from AEW promotional materials, whilst producer Steel was suspended outright. Others who were present such as Christopher Daniels and Pat Buck were also suspended, but were quickly brought back when no evidence of wrongdoing was found on their behalf.
