Tony Khan Had "Serious Conversation" With MJF After Drink Incident At AEW Revolution

MJF threw a drink over a child at AEW Revolution

MJF found himself in hot water with the boss following All Elite Wrestling's Revolution pay-per-view.

MJF defended the AEW World Championship in a 60-minute Iron Man Match against Bryan Danielson in the main event of Revolution. After some counter-wrestling during the opening quarter, a frustrated MJF rolled to the outside and decided to take his frustration out on a young boy as he grabbed a drink from the child's mother and threw it over the kid. According to Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the drink in question was tequila and some of it got in the child's eye.

It was noted following the incident that the child was not a plant and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Grapsody's Will Washington bought the child an Acclaimed foam finger, while Amanda Huber was seen sitting with the child as AEW looked to smooth things over. The child, named Titus, was taken backstage after the show to meet the promotion's wrestlers.

Addressing the incident in the post-Revolution media scrum, MJF simply said he thought the child looked thirsty before Tony Khan admitted he had a "serious conversation" with MJF over his conduct.

"We had a conversation before we came up here. We had a serious conversation, and I mean that, it's not to be taken lightly. The young man, Titus, was a real pro about it. We'll see Titus again in AEW. I believe he's coming to Sacramento. I was just with him and he was a real champ about it. The champion didn't act like a champion there. Titus was great," Khan said.

MJF then called Titus "salt of the earth." AEW's next show, the March 8 edition of Dynamite, will take place in Sacramento, California.
