Tony Khan: HOOK Is Going To Be Special Every Time You See Him On-Screen In AEW

Khan was full of praise for HOOK

While initially a cult favourite, particularly on social media, prior to his All Elite Wrestling in-ring debut, HOOK's star power has only risen to new heights since he stepped inside the squared circle for the first time on the December 10 edition of Rampage.

HOOK's aura continued to grow in his second match on Christmas Day, one which featured the 22-year-old no-selling a Rikishi Driver from Bear Bronson, and the Team Taz member picked up the second win of his young career.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, AEW President Tony Khan was full of praise for HOOK and he revealed the 22-year-old is "going to be special every time you see him on-screen."

"HOOK could be rookie of the year in any year," Khan said. "He has the marketing machine fully behind him. He's had great coaching from his father, Taz, who is his mentor, and he's learned from a lot of very intelligent pro wrestlers. It bodes really well for him, and he is going to be special every time you see him on-screen. There is so much to look forward to in 2022, and HOOK is a big reason for that."
