Tony Khan: I Book Wrestling For The Sickos

Tony Khan is a sicko, and he books wrestling for sickos

In both a positive and negative light, Tony Khan’s booking of AEW programming has been discussed a whole lot, particularly in more recent times. Often on AEW TV, quite random matches are booked with thrown together individuals for the sole purpose of putting on a good show and seeing different styles clash. For some fans this is great, and for others it lacks logic. Either way, it gives AEW new matchups each week, in addition to matches fans never thought they’d see in a million years (take the mental Adam Copeland vs. Minoru Suzuki match for example).

Tony Khan himself has spoken out about his style of booking in a post on X, explaining why he goes down his particular route of putting matches together. For Khan, he caters to the “sickos”.

“I book wrestling for the sickos because that's what I am and that's who I care about.”

Whether you believe being a wrestling sicko is a good or bad thing is up to you, but if you are a sicko then insanely surreal matches like Adam Copeland vs. Minoru Suzuki will tick all your boxes. Lets be honest though, being a wrestling sicko is part of the fun.
