Report: Ricochet To Leave WWE Following Expiration Of His Contract

Ricochet will reportedly be leaving WWE in the summer

It has been reported previously that Ricochet’s WWE deal is expected to expire in the coming months, and a new report from PWInsider has revealed that he will not be signing a new deal with the company.

Ricochet has reportedly given WWE his notice and been open about his intention to leave the promotion this summer when his contract expires. The expectation is that Ricochet will now be written out of storylines in advance of his exit on Monday Night RAW. The reaction from one source in WWE was positive, noting that they were giving Ricochet credit for betting on himself.

Ricochet signed with WWE back in 2018, starting out on the NXT brand where he won the NXT North American Championship and the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Aleister Black. When moving to the main roster, Ricochet has found success in the midcard division with runs as Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion, and most recently becoming the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.

In recent months, AEW’s Will Ospreay has spoken out about wanting to work with Ricochet again, telling the world that there are other places in wrestling that would respect Ricochet’s talents much more. It is expected that many companies will be vying to sign Ricochet.
