Tony Khan Ignored 'Inspirational' Email From EC3 After Brawl Out

EC3 wanted to inspire Tony Khan following Brawl Out

Amidst chaos within All Elite Wrestling following the events of Brawl Out in September 2022, AEW CEO Tony Khan received an inspirational email from EC3. Khan never replied.

EC3 told The Wrestling Outlaws:

"I emailed Tony. Not at all with the intent to get a job, that's how I led off the email. It was when all the initial Punk and Young Bucks and all that thing went off. Just cause I thought he might be a guy who lacked anybody that would just... he doesn't have a close relationship with to tell him something. It was just an inspirational, leadership message, because in theory, I do believe we need as much competition as possible for the sanctity of the industry. So I sent a hopefully inspirational message on leadership and what it takes. I've never heard anything back."

Months of issues within the AEW locker room came to a head following All Out 2022 after CM Punk and Ace Steel had a fight with The Elite following Punk's infamous post-All Out media scrum. All five men were suspended. CM Punk was stripped of the AEW World Title and The Elite were stripped of the AEW World Trios Championships.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks returned in November 2022, while Punk is reportedly set to come back to AEW in June 2023. Ace Steel was fired.

Following the failure of Control Your Narrative, EC3 has primarily performed for the National Wrestling Alliance and Ohio Valley Wrestling. He previously had two runs in WWE and is a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
