Tony Khan Planning To Meet David Zaslav To Discuss AEW-WBD TV Deal

Tony Khan and David Zaslav to meet over AEW-WBD TV deal

Discussions over a new broadcast deal for All Elite Wrestling with Warner Bros. Discovery appear to be gathering pace, with it recently noted by some users of WBD’s MAX streaming service that AEW PPVs were starting to be added to the service.

However, despite reports of a deal between the two sides saying completion is ‘imminent’, a report from Fightful Select suggests this is not the case, with the frameworks of a deal yet to be agreed upon by both sides. It is noted that a deal between AEW and WBD is expected to materialise, with the relationship between the two entities said to remain ‘amicable’.

Both Tony Khan and WBD CEO David Zaslav are set to be in Paris for the upcoming Olympic Summer Games, with a meeting between the two set for Paris, having been in the books ‘for months’. Fightful’s report does state that although the meeting will contain conversations about a deal between the two sides, it’s not a guarantee that a deal will be reached there and then.

AEW and WBD have been in discussions over a new deal since late 2023, with reports suggesting that WBD may have made an offer to AEW ‘months ago’.
