Tony Khan Planning To Run AEW Show In Pacific Northwest Very Soon

Tony Khan plans to take AEW into a new market very soon.

Tony Khan recently spoke on Swerve Strickland's Swerve City Podcast. Among the topics covered was the idea of AEW debuting in the Pacific Northwest, with Khan stating:

"[It'll happen] very soon, it’s something I’m looking at. When we come, we’re gonna come with some major show [...] a major event. I would bring a major show there."

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Bryan Danielson had been asked to turn down bookings for a particular promotion based in the area - the thought process behind this reportedly being that AEW would want to put on Bryan's first appearance in his home region since leaving WWE.

Khan didn't specify what kind of show he would bring to the Pacific Northwest, but seemed to hint at a special on weekly TV akin to Beach Break or Homecoming, as opposed to one of AEW's "big four" pay per views (Revolution, Double or Nothing, All Out and Full Gear.)

Danielson is currently part of William Regal's Blackpool Combat Club stable, alongside Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta.
