Social media bots that post negative tweets about All Elite Wrestling might be real after all.

Tony Khan claimed back in April 2022 that an independent study had confirmed much of the "anti-AEW online community" was "an army of bots" and a small staff as opposed to real people.

"An independent study has confirmed that much of the staunch anti-AEW online community aren't real individuals, it's a staff running thousands of accounts + an army of bots to signal boost them. Look closely, these aren't real people. Who'd pay for such a *wildly* expensive thing? Ever wonder why so much of the activity of these accounts is retweets and replies? Like who actually has 80% of their activity as straight-up retweets?" Khan tweeted.

Khan's claims led to Booker T wondering if the AEW CEO was losing his mind but Khan doubled down only a couple of weeks later about the anti-AEW bots being real.

Now, some proof may have come to light as a now-private X account shared photos of anti-AEW bot accounts heaping praise on WWE NXT. Tony Khan responded to this latest piece of evidence with a GIF of Tony Soprano saying, "Well, I told you that."

Bots have become a real issue on X (FKA Twitter) since Elon Musk purchased the social media platform in 2022. A study from the Queensland University of Technology earlier this year described X as "a haven for disinformation. While pre-Musk Twitter previously managed to moderate harmful conspiracy theories such as QAnon, X is now a safe space for conspiracy theorists and political disinformation."
