Tony Khan Reveals AEW Are Getting Bigger Opportunities Since Warner Bros. Discovery Merger

Big things from the merger for AEW

While there is reportedly concern over a new TV deal for All Elite Wrestling with Warner Bros. Discovery when the current contract expires at the end of 2023, Tony Khan has touted the promotion's close relationship with the media conglomerate.

Speaking on Sporticast, Khan noted the new leadership has given AEW bigger opportunities than they were getting before.

"Our TV deals are, I think, the biggest individual revenue driver and for us, we've got this great partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and we've got the rest of this year and next year. They have really been so good to us and I feel like not only was the original leadership so great to take a chance on an unknown company, but then post-merger, the Discovery leadership that's come in has been so supportive and we're getting opportunities now with the new management even bigger than we've ever gotten before," Khan said.

Since the merger, All Elite Wrestling have been involved with Shark Week and the August 17 episode of Dynamite was presented by HBO's House of the Dragon.
