The fallout from the cross-promotional Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view on January 5 continues, as Tony Schiavone has quickly deleted a post aimed at New Japan's English language commentator Chris Charlton.

The AEW man posted the following before it was quickly removed: "Speaking for all of us in AEW, GFY [go f*** yourself.] And speaking for all of us who have been around you, take a shower once in a while."

Charlton faced widespread online criticism for his performance as part of the announce team for Wrestle Dynasty and has since been put on a two-month suspension. The show was a joint venture primarily featuring New Japan and AEW talent - but also including members of the STARDOM and CMLL rosters, as well as a defence of RevPro's Undisputed British Women's Championship.

Charlton made several disparaging comments about AEW during the Wrestle Dynasty broadcast, particularly during Gabe Kidd vs. Kenny Omega. Comments made by Charlton included him calling Tony Khan a "money mark" and questioning what Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Jay White had done in AEW since leaving New Japan. Charlton also unfavourably compared the AEW Continental Classic to NJPW's G1 Climax.
