Former WWE star Torrie Wilson recently underwent successful thumb surgery.

Wilson shared the news via her Instagram stories, noting that she was given a nerve block to help deal with the pain.

She credited her surgeon, as well as the entire Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Centre, for ensuring the procedure went smoothly.

The 49-year-old got her break in the wrestling business back in 1999, when Kevin Nash brought her in for a WCW storyline.

She joined WWE after the company bought WCW in 2001 and performed there until being released in May 2008. Since then, Wilson has made sporadic appearances for WWE, including a handful of matches (the most recent of which was the 2021 women's Royal Rumble). Wilson last appeared on WWE television on the April 26 edition of SmackDown, where she and Michelle McCool announced second-round WWE Draft picks. Torrie was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.

Wilson's old rival (and storyline stepmother) Dawn Marie is set to make an appearance as the special guest referee for a match on next week's edition of NXT. It will be her first WWE appearance in almost two decades (although she was in attendance for Paul Heyman's Hall of Fame induction earlier this year).
