Trinity Opens Up About WWE Exit And IMPACT Debut
Naomi has discussed her decision to join IMPACT and her "blessing in disguise" WWE exit
Trinity made both her first appearance and in-ring debut at a selection of IMPACT tapings over the last few days, marking her first match since walking out of WWE a year ago.
Trinity spoke to NBC Chicago to talk about her debut in IMPACT and how it felt to be out there in front of a crowd again.
“I was trying to hold back the tears. It just felt so good being back in wrestling and being with Impact in a place where I feel so welcome and just for the opportunity and just receiving all the love, it was very, very overwhelming. And I really felt it in my heart, like I really did. I couldn't even hide the emotion.”
She went on to talk about her WWE departure and how in the end it ended up being a positive thing rather than a negative.
“At the time, it was very scary. But I feel like everything happens for a reason. I feel like it was a blessing in disguise. I feel that it's allowed me to grow and become better in every way, in every aspect. Show me how strong I really am. And now I've got this new journey ahead of me, these new goals. And I'm excited and ready to step into this new chapter.”
Trinity would also discuss her decision to join IMPACT, stating that much of it was due to the fact that they have one of the best women’s divisions on the planet, commending it for its strength.
