Triple H Announces 2023 WWE Draft On SmackDown

A WWE Draft is on the way, Triple H revealed on SmackDown

The WWE Draft is returning in a matter of weeks.

Following his appearance on the Raw after WrestleMania earlier this week, Triple H made another appearance, this time on the April 7 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The WWE Chief Content Officer initially hyped up all of the records that WWE broke with WrestleMania 39 before he turned his attention to the future.

Triple H announced the WWE Draft would be returning in a "few weeks" and every talent in WWE will be eligible to be drafted. No exact date for the WWE Draft was officially announced, but a report has revealed when the draft will be taking place.

Fightful Select reported today that WWE talent hadn't been told about a draft but they assumed it would be taking place at some point after WrestleMania 39.

The 2023 WWE Draft will be the first time the company has reshuffled the Raw and SmackDown rosters since October 2021, which was the 16th draft in WWE history. WWE introduced the draft back in 2002 when the brand split was established following the WCW and ECW Invasion.
