Triple H On WWE NXT Move To USA Network: "Contrary To Belief, This Is Something We’ve Been Working On For A While

The Game speaks out...

The wrestling world was shaken to its core recently as WWE announced that the weekly NXT show would be moving from its current slot on the WWE Network to air live for two hours each Wednesday on the USA Network.

Triple H Comments On “Competition” From AEW & NJPW For WWE NXT UK This Weekend.

The move is occurring on September 18, just two weeks before All Elite Wrestling's weekly series starts on Wednesday nights on TNT.

Naturally, fans the world over pointed the finger at WWE moving NXT to the USA Network as a move to scupper AEW's growth in the early stages of the fledgeling company's television history.

However, during a conference call ahead of NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff (that Cultaholic was kindly invited to participate in), The Game made sure to make note that the new deal for the yellow and gold brand has indeed been in the works for some time while speaking about the impact the move will have on the NXT UK roster and show.

"Contrary to belief, this is something we’ve been working on for a while but I think that the opportunity in the UK is tremendous whether that is on the WWE Network, whether that is someplace else. But the platform really is irrelevant, people want to find the best wrestling in the UK and Europe and they know where to find it whatever that’s on - whether that’s with our new partners BT or that’s with the Network, whatever."
