Speaking recently to BBC Newsbeat, Triple H confirmed that Netflix decides the run-time of Monday Night Raw.

In explaining the streaming platform's lack of input into WWE's creative direction, Triple H - aka Paul Levesque - said the following:

"We create the Superstars, we create the storylines. We do all of that and the world watches. [Netflix only decides] how long the show is, when we go off air, or what time we're on air. [...] Someone doesn't tell the NFL how football's played. They distribute our product."

Triple H also spoke about John Cena's recent heel turn, explaining:

"[Cena is retiring because he realised] physically, I can't do this any more. He was wonderful enough to say 'I want to have a year-long retirement run' and go see everyone and thank them. [...] What's the biggest way we can do that? To explore avenues we haven't gone down.

"So, 20 years later, John - who's the ultimate good guy and always does the right thing - becomes a bad guy."

Having won the men's Elimination Chamber match, Cena is set to face Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

WWE Raw has aired on Netflix since the beginning of 2025 as part of a 10-year deal. SmackDown, NXT, WWE PLEs, and the company's content library are also available on Netflix in many international territories, including the United Kingdom.
