From Max Caster to MJF to Jungle Boy, professional wrestling is filled with talents that WWE had the option to sign and decided not to and those that rejected Vince McMahon's company.

Speaking with The Athletic, Triple H admitted there are independent wrestlers WWE will initially miss out on but The Game believes they will eventually want to join the company.

"Are there going to be some we miss where they say they'll stay in the business, go find somebody else to train them? Yeah. Good for them. Probably sooner or later, we're going to see them and realise we were wrong and should hire them. And at some point, they'll want to be part of the biggest promotion in the world and come back here," Triple H said.

WWE have moved away from bringing in independent wrestling talent since NXT's revamp in 2021 and the company have instead focused on recruiting college athletes. The company have still looked at a few indy wrestlers, though, and they recently signed former ROH Women's World Champion Rok-C, who has since been repackaged as Roxanne Perez.
