Trish Stratus Addresses WWE Changing Her Return Plans

Trish Stratus on her WWE return

Trish Stratus didn't have the easiest of returns to WWE TV, if reports are to be believed.

It was initially noted in early February that Stratus would be returning to WWE TV to team with Becky Lynch and Lita against Damage CTRL at Elimination Chamber on February 18. That match was quickly postponed, along with Trish's return, due to an injury that Dakota Kai had suffered.

Stratus was then reportedly set to return on February 20 on Bayley's Ding Dong Hello! talk show and the WWE Hall of Famer was even backstage at Raw, but WWE again scrapped her return and she ended up leaving the taping. Trish eventually returned on February 27 and helped Becky Lynch and Lita to defeat Dakota Kai and IYO SKY on Monday Night Raw.

Stratus will team with Lynch and Lita to face Bayley, SKY, and Kai at WrestleMania 39.

Addressing the reports surrounding her WWE return on Getting Over, Stratus admitted she wasn't frustrated and "everything happens for a reason."

"No. Everything has been pretty smooth, to be honest. I know there were little online rumblings, but everything happens for a reason. There are definitely a lot of gut intuitions going into making these decisions, and I think we landed at the right place at the right time. I'm excited where it landed. It's just enough time before WrestleMania. It's the right dynamic, the right timing, the girls have the tag team titles, unexpected. What a moment," Stratus said.

Stratus will reportedly be around WWE TV for the next several months. Find out more here.
