Trish Stratus Returning To The Ring At WWE Elimination Chamber

At the 2025 Royal Rumble premium live event, Hall Of Famer and multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus returned to the ring after over a year away, competing in the women’s Royal Rumble match - her previous match coming at the 2023 Payback event where she lost in a Steel Cage match to Becky Lynch. 

It was reported that Stratus was expected to make more of a comeback to WWE following her Rumble cameo, and the February 14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown has confirmed this. On SmackDown, during Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Title defense against Nia Jax, Jax’s ally Candice LeRae got involved, causing the ref to call for the bell. This led to Jax & LeRae beating down Stratton, only for Stratus to make the save. However, Stratus’ return was thwarted by the heel pairing, who both played a part in eliminating Stratus from the Rumble. The pair proceeded to attack both Stratus and the reigning WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. The Hall Of Famer and new star later met backstage and asked for a tag team match at the WWE Elimination Chamber PPV in Stratus’ hometown of Toronto. 

Although the match has not yet been made official by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, it is an inevitability that Stratus will be competing at the show.
