Report: Josh Alexander Expected To Join AEW

Josh Alexander finished up with TNA last month, wrapping up a successful six year spell in the promotion. Since entering free agency as of this week, it has been reported that there is interest from both AEW and WWE in acquiring the services of the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion. 

Fightful Select have provided some more insight into his potential landing spot, reporting that Alexander is expected to be AEW bound. After it emerged that Alexander was being represented by Barry Bloom, who has also represented Kenny Omega, it felt as though a bidding war may have been set to take place between the two promotions. Whether or not WWE shared their official interest is unknown, but he is expected to be heading to AEW regardless, though Fightful Select weren’t privy to whether he had officially signed as of yet. It is stated that those in AEW are under the impression that he will be heading there imminently. 

Speculation was drummed up on social media, as fellow former TNA star Jordynne Grace sent out a post on X hinting that Alexander could be coming to WWE.
