Tully Blanchard Reveals Why His FTR Partnership On AEW TV Suddenly Ended

Tully Blanchard has revealed why his run with FTR in AEW ended

Tully Blanchard is one of the most celebrated tag team wrestlers of all time, with his run with Arn Anderson as part of The Four Horseman in the NWA and the Heenan Family in the WWF influencing generations of teams.

Blanchard had a run in All Elite Wrestling from 2019 until 2022, chiefly serving as FTR's manager, before leaving the company. Now in a conversation with Appalachian Championship Wrestling (via Wrestling Shoot Interviews) Blanchard has given his thoughts on why his run with FTR ended:

"Obviously somebody didn’t like what I was doing, or lack of what I was doing," Blanchard said.

Tully was ‘fired’ by FTR in March 2022, and had a short run as the head of Tully Blanchard Enterprises in Ring of Honor, before ‘selling’ the group to Prince Nana at Death Before Dishonor 2022 who subsequently re-dubbed them The Embassy. Blanchard would leave AEW/ROH shortly after.

Blanchard had nothing but praise for FTR. though:

"They are probably the best tag team right now. I would have a hard time saying best tag team of all time since Arn and I are already in that position [laughs],” continued Blanchard, before also giving praise to The Young Bucks.
