The television project that will keep Wardlow and Kamille away from AEW television has been revealed.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the AEW stars are set to be among the pro-wrestling contingent involved with the upcoming American Gladiators reboot, which will air on Amazon Prime Video.
Kamille and Wardlow join Eric Bugenhagen (FKA Rick Boogs), Jessie Godderz, and Jessica Roden (AKA J-Rod). Pro-wrestlers will occupy a third of the on-camera talent slots, with WWE's The Miz set to host the show.
It was previously reported that long-term AEW absentees Wardlow and Kamille would be off television for longer due to landing roles in a TV show, which we now know to be American Gladiators. The Gladiators will perform under different names on the show.
Both Wardlow and Kamille have significant time remaining on their AEW deals.
American Gladiators originally ran between 1989 and 1996. It saw amateur athletes compete against each other and the so-called Gladiators in a series of challenges focusing on strength and agility. A release date for the revival is to be determined.
