Two Matches Set For 'Ric Flair's Last Match' Event

The card is taking shape for Ric Flair's Last Match

Ric Flair’s ‘Last Match’ is set for July 31st, and in the run up to ‘The Nature Boy’s final bow, a press conference was held by Jim Crockett Promotions and Starrcast, announcing the card for the event.

Flair is set for the main event - obviously - but several matches have been announced for the undercard featuring names from IMPACT Wrestling and MLW.

IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander is set for the show, and will be defending the title against former MLW World Champion Jacob Fatu in a first time encounter, with the two having never previously crossed paths.

The other match announced thus far is one for tag wrestling purists, as The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) are set to face The Motor City Machine Guns for the first time in 12 years, and only the second time over all.

No other matches have yet been announced, but it was revealed that NJPW will also be involved with the event, although it is as yet unclear what role New Japan will play.

Ric Flair’s Last Match is set for Sunday July 31 from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium as part of Starrcast V.
