Tyler Bate Officially Added To The WWE SmackDown Roster

Tyler Bate is here to stay on WWE SmackDown

NXT star Tyler Bate made his Friday Night SmackDown debut on the most recent episode of the blue brand, emerging as Butch’s mystery tag team partner in a match against Kit Wilson & Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly, with whom Butch has been having issues with in recent months.

This wasn’t just a one-off for Tyler Bate though, as he has now been officially added to the WWE SmackDown roster, seemingly marking his main roster call-up. Bate first indicated that this was the case in an interview posted to WWE’s social media channels, where he noted that he is “here to stay” when it comes to his future on SmackDown.

Bate has been signed to WWE for eight years, debuting in NXT UK and becoming the inaugural NXT UK Champion. From there he competed mostly on the UK brand, with a few cameos on the US version of NXT where he became an NXT Tag Team Champion alongside his Moustache Mountain ally Trent Seven. Following the end of the NXT UK show, Bate made the transition full-time to the US, and he has now finally made it to the main roster.
