Tyler Breeze Integral In Xia Li's WWE NXT Push

While she signed with WWE all the way back in January 2017, Xia Li was only used sparingly on NXT TV during her first few years with the company. The Chinese Superstar has received a push in 2021, though, alongside Mei Ying and Boa as Tian Sha and she hasn't lost a match since October last year. 

Tyler Breeze appears to have been integral in Li's push and the former NXT Tag Team Champion revealed on Twitch that Li was used more on TV after she took an eight-week course at his and Shawn Spears' wrestling school.

"Xia Li is a very good success story that we've had. She's been part of NXT for three or four years and kinda went, 'look, what am I doing? Why am I not on TV and being used?' She came to me and asked (to be trained) and we were like, 'Cool, this is what we need to do,'" Breeze stated.

"She did the entire eight-week course, I wrestled a match with her and taped it, showed it to Triple H, and two or three weeks later, she's getting booked to what she's doing now and doing vignettes. Xia is fantastic. She's definitely one of ours."

Breeze also mentioned Renee Michelle, Colten Gunn and Cezar Bononi as other success stories from his wrestling school, Flatbacks.
