Tyrese Haliburton & Jalen Brunson Expected To Make More WWE Appearances In The Future

More WWE appearances expected from Tyrese Halliburton and Jalen Brunson

An NBA rivalry entered a WWE ring on the June 28 edition of Friday Night SmackDown from Madison Square Garden as Indiana Pacers' point guard Tyrese Haliburton accompanied Logan Paul to the ring for his Money in the Bank Triple Threat qualifier. Haliburton bumped into New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson on his way to the ring, though, and their issues worsened after Haliburton tried to help Logan Paul cheat to victory with Paul's trademark pair of brass knuckles, which prompted Brunson to hop the barricade.

Haliburton never did pass the brass knuckles to Logan Paul and the United States Champion was later pinned by LA Knight as the former Eli Drake punched his ticket to Money in the Bank. Haliburton and Paul then looked to corner Knight post-match before Brunson made the save with a steel chair, causing Paul and Haliburton to back off.

The two NBA players might not be finished with WWE as Fightful Select reported that WWE expects to have Brunson and Haliburton feature on shows in the future "when it works for each of them."

NBA and pro wrestling have mixed before. Dennis Rodman wrestled several matches for WCW and he is a member of the nWo. Rodman returned to pro wrestling last year, appearing on the September 2 edition of AEW Collision and the All Out pay-per-view when both shows emanated from Chicago.

Shaquille O'Neal has also previously wrestled for WWE and AEW.
