Steel Cage Match For The Universal Title Added To Christmas Day Episode Of WWE SmackDown

During the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the Universal Championship at TLC, Kevin Owens had the match won on multiple occasions but repeated interference from Jey Uso prevented KO from capturing the title. Owens even Pillmanised Uso's ankle at one point, but Jey came marching back to the ring to interfere some more. It all ultimately proved to be too much for the former Universal Champion and Reigns grabbed the title after catching Owens with a Low Blow and choking him out with the Guillotine. 

WWE has already announced a rematch between Owens and Reigns and the two men will face off inside a Steel Cage on the Christmas Day episode of SmackDown. WWE's description of the match suggests "there will be no one and nothing to help either Superstar."

This isn't the only title match taking place on Christmas Day. The Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line when Sami Zayn faces off against Big E.
