Update On AEW Talents Reportedly On Expiring Contracts

Lio Rush revealed that his expires next month

On the heels of Lio Rush announcing the expiration of his AEW deal next month, stories have emerged of several other AEW talents that are said to be on expiring deals.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Marko Stunt, Joey Janela, and Brian Cage are among the names mentioned most to him as examples of wrestlers whose contracts are nearing their expiration.

Stunt has not appeared for AEW since September. Jurassic Express teammates Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus have moved on with Christian Cage as their sole accompaniment, and they've since captured the AEW World Tag Team titles from the Lucha Bros.

Janela has been active with AEW, wrestling on recent Dark tapings during this month. The Game Changer star has spoken about his expiring contract, and has expressed a desire to remain with the promotion.

Cage last wrestled for AEW in October, though Johnson's report claims that he's been backstage at AEW regularly since then.

Rush revealed earlier Saturday that his AEW contract expires after February 14. Johnson also confirmed that Peter Avalon's contract with AEW recently expired.
