Update On Becky Lynch's WWE Future Following Retirement Speculation

A new report from Fightful Select has shed some light on Becky Lynch's future with WWE. This comes after speculation regarding a possible retirement, prompted by Lynch's Instagram post following the airing of her A&E Biography episode. The post, which reflected on her career and motherhood, included the phrase, "It's been a helluva career. Being the Man for you all was an honor." 

Given Lynch's WWE contract expired earlier this summer, fans were quick to wonder if this represented a retirement announcement. Fightful's post has revealed more about the situation, and stated that WWE have not been informed about any retirement for Lynch and sources didn't believe she would retire via Instagram if she were to hang up her boots. 

Lynch is instead enjoying her time off following the expiry of her WWE contract on June 1 and WWE are being respectful of her space considering all she has given to the company during her 11-year run. The belief is Lynch would always be welcome back to WWE and it was believed at the time of her deal expiring that she would be back with the company "if and when the time was right."
