It was reported earlier Saturday that Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had a heated confrontation backstage after Friday night's WWE SmackDown went off the air.

The two were involved in a show-closing segment where they exchanged the Raw and SmackDown Women's titles, due to both women changing brands in this month's Draft. During the ceremony, Flair reportedly went off script during the actual handover, and threw down her title when she wasn't scripted to do so. It was felt that the act made Lynch look bad.

An update from Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select claims that Flair was asked to leave the arena after her and Lynch's verbal altercation backstage. Lynch had a post-show dark match with Bianca Belair, and Flair was asked to leave before its conclusion, to avoid another possible dust-up between the two.

Bryan Alvarez of Figure 4 Weekly tweeted that Flair was escorted out of the building by security.

As far as the booking of the segment, Sapp's report notes that per the original plan, Lynch was supposed to snatch away Flair's belt and brag about being "Becky Two Belts", to which Sonya Deville would order her to give the SmackDown belt to Flair. Flair reportedly disagreed with that booking detail, but was, "...told to stay the course." The report also states that Flair apparently said her dropping of the Raw belt was accidental.
