Darby Allin is on his way to Mount Everest.

Adventure Consultants, the company running Darby's expedition to scale Mount Everest, have revealed they set off from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, on April 10. Their long trek to Everest began on April 11, with Allin enjoying hiking with his mother and brother on the way to Everest Base Camp.

As of April 16, Allin had said goodbye to his family as they hiked from Pheriche to Chukhung, a lodge village in the Himalayas which serves climbers looking to scale Everest. The plan for Darby now is to continue acclimatising to the altitude with a hike to Chukung Ri, a rocky peak above the village with an elevation of 5540 metres.

Allin still has around three kilometres up to go, with Mount Everest's elevation sitting at 8848 metres.

Allin has long intended to climb Mount Everest, having originally planned to climb the highest mountain on Earth in 2024. He was forced to scrap those plans, however, after breaking his foot in what was scheduled to be Darby's final AEW match before beginning the expedition. Allin was then hit by a bus shortly after.

Allin was written off AEW TV to climb Mount Everest on the December 27, 2024 episode of Rampage when he was thrown down a flight of stairs by the Death Riders.
