Update On Dominik Mysterio's Injury

Good news for Dirty Dom.

WWE star Dominik Mysterio looks set for a spell on the sidelines, but will seemingly avoid surgery.

The 27-year-old suffered an elbow injury during his loss to Andrade on the April 15 episode of Raw. The injury was considered a "freak accident"

Providing an update on 'Dirty' Dom's injury status during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:

"So he's going through physical therapy. Originally, the first word that we got was that he was going to need Tommy John surgery. He said, 'No surgery', and I checked with WWE today. And they said, 'Yeah, he's going to do physical therapy. He's not going to have surgery'. But that was the original word on Tuesday. So that's the deal. I mean, that was interesting to me because, you know, the length of recovery from Tommy John surgery is very long [...] You know, whatever, but he's not getting the surgery. And so that's basically the deal, yeah".

Mysterio signed what was reportedly a new five-year deal with WWE in November 2023. His Judgment Day stablemate Rhea Ripley is currently out of action after suffering what was also described as a "freak" injury.
