Update On El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. Possibly Joining WWE

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. seemingly won't be joining WWE any time soon.

Reports recently noted that the son of Dr. Wagner Jr. was in talks with WWE but the former GHC Heavyweight Champion revealed to Mas Lucha on January 24 that he has a full schedule until May, which suggests he isn't expecting to sign a deal with WWE in the near future.

"Right now we have the schedule full up until May so we will do all the currently scheduled dates. I am an independent wrestler so if a promotion is interested in my services, the year has 365 days and I am ready to take on all new challenges," El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. said.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after finishing up with Pro Wrestling NOAH on January 11. He had worked for the promotion since 2019 and in addition to his 90-day reign as GHC Heavyweight Champion, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is a former GHC National Champion and two-time GHC Tag Team Champion with Rene Dupree.
