Update On Giulia's Injury Status, NXT Plans, And More

After appearing in the crowd at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024, it was expected that it would not be long until Giulia made her way to NXT to begin her life as a WWE superstar. Things have taken a backseat though due to her sustaining an injury at Marigold’s Fields Forever event last week.

Fightful Select have provided an extensive update on Giulia’s status with WWE presently, with sources revealing that WWE are happy for Giulia to spend her time recovering back in Japan, despite previously expecting her to still appear on shows that she was originally set to compete on. In terms of her injury, the belief is that it isn’t as serious as first feared, meaning that her planned debut in NXT may still be on course to happen in the next two months.

Looking ahead to her plans in NXT, she looks still set to make her in-ring debut at the upcoming NXT Heatwave event, with the idea being that she will take on NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at the Toronto show. The match has not yet been made official, but this is still the running plan as of now.

Despite Giulia heading to WWE, it is believed that she will still work dates for Marigold, making up for the time she will be missing due to injury too. The report goes on to state that Giulia is not set to be WWE-exclusive, with her potentially set to work in both WWE and Marigold going forwards.
