Update On Hangman Page's AEW Status Following Very Brief Return

Hangman Page's return to All Elite Wrestling turned out to be a one-night affair as the two-time AEW World Champion appeared on AEW programming for the first time in months on the July 11 edition of AEW Collision, only to promptly disappear again. Adam Page will be back "very soon", though, according to AEW CEO Tony Khan.

"I think we'll see Hangman again very soon… I would expect him to be back soon. He had a great interview and really set the stakes for his return, which feels imminent, to the ring that he's gonna be chasing championships. He's going to be a man of his word," Khan said on the pre-Redemption media call.

Hangman Page had been absent from AEW TV after losing a Texas Death Match to MJF which meant Page would never be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship again, something that was a gentleman's agreement between Page and Khan after Hangman suggested the stipulation.

Page returned on the July 11 edition of AEW Collision on a one-day build and revealed that he would be a man of his word about never challenging for the AEW World Title, and he would instead pursue All Elite Wrestling's other championships. Page also noted he had been learning about cervical radiculopathy, the technical term for a pinched nerve in the neck, which typically is caused by a herniated disc.

Following the appearance, though, Page has been absent from AEW TV again and he has seldom been mentioned on AEW's subsequent programming.
