LA Knight hitting a move on Drew McIntyre

Reports emerged quickly following the conclusion of the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE that Drew McIntyre had stormed out of the arena, ranting about an unnamed individual “getting their stuff in” and causing a botch during his elimination from the match. During the Rumble match, when Damian Priest threw McIntyre over the top rope, they bumped into LA Knight and Logan Paul who were also in the middle of a sequence.

It was revealed in the days following that LA Knight was the one McIntyre had issues with, and that in fact many of the others in the match were unhappy with Knight’s performance during the Rumble too. On this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, McIntyre and Knight came face to face, and Knight made hints towards their reported issues in a promo, claiming to be forgetting to “get his stuff in” before performing his signature catchphrase.

A clip made the rounds on social media of them throwing some harder-hitting shots than usual to one another during an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, but Fightful Select has quickly dispelled any potential heat between the pair.

It is said that there no existing heat any longer between the pair, and that anything that played out in their match was said to have been an opportunity to play off the reported frustrations that happened behind the scenes. When it comes to Knight’s promo, McIntyre is said to have had no issues with it. A source in WWE did state that it wasn’t great that this incident was leaked, but believed that both McIntyre & Knight managed to play it off well.
